new collection launch

a nomadic lifestyle often makes it difficult to plan things and the logistics can be challenging. i show work in selected exhibitions (one or two pieces at a time) but up to now i have had nowhere to direct people who might want to see a broader collection of my work.

i can now announce that i am one of the featured makers during july at the contemporary applied arts gallery in london. i'm delighted to be represented by the caa and finally to have a place to show my work. it feels like a milestone.

this is my first collection for caa, and the launch of pieces in this technique. i tested the water in germany last year with a small 'fresco boy' and was encouraged to keep going.  it is a risk as they don't look anything like traditional engraving but i'm excited to see how it goes.

there are 9 single pieces, and a pair. here's the pic i took for my records before packing and shipping.

the caa gallery (map here) is behind tate modern on southwark street and well worth a visit to see and buy the very best of british craft and applied art. the current exhibition is a solo show of work by laura youngson coll, perrier-jouet arts salon prize winner.

please visit if you are in london.

The organisers have invited us to show two of Nancy’s pieces at the Dutch Glass Biennale (for other exhibitors it was an Open Call; they had an impressive response, and it should a good show). On view there will be FLOATING and FRESCO BOYS 2 (“Looking at you, kid”).
